The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is in the midst of a wholescale transformation effort aimed at delivering a force that is ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century. DAF is transforming elements of all phases of its human resource management (HRM) life cycle to meet their people demands.

ManTech will ensure that the DAF’s business processes and supporting information technology platforms fully empower DAF personnel and Guardians to maximize their abilities. Your work on the DTD team will help transform data and enterprise architectures, consolidate and modernize platforms, and integrate AI into human capital business processes.

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Dat a ba s e A d m i n i s t r a t o r / Engineer AW S - Dat a Infra s tructure to join our team.

Re s pon s i bi litie s include but are not limited to:

  • Defines informational needs and elements, datarelationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, dataflow and storage requirements, dataoutput and reporting capabilities.

  • Designs, develops, and implementsdatabaseapplications to accommodate a variety of user needs.

  • Buildsdatamodels using datamodeler and write SQL queries

  • Performssystem level database, performance monitoring, tuning and datainfrastructure maintenance.

  • Manages Amazon Redshift DataWarehouse and RDSDatabases in AWS cloud

  • Administers, maintains, develops, and implements the integrity, security, and availability of multiple database(s).

  • Maintains cyber security protocols and procedures in managing legacy government databases

Minimum Qualification s :

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, or Business

  • Must have 5+ years of relevant Amazon Redshift/RDSDatawarehouse management and administration

  • Administering Cloud databases including Replication, Backup/Restore procedures, Capacity Planning, Reporting Services, AnalysisServices, and Integration Services

  • Recommending/implementing solutions for SQL performance monitoring and tuning

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently

  • Experience and knowledge related to source/change control, bug tracking, SDLC, and integration of Relational Databases

  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential and/or sensitive materials

  • Preferred experience implementing and maintainingdatawarehouses and with working in cloud environmentssuch as AWS

  • Preferred prior professional services or federal consulting experience

Clearance Requirement s :

  • Must be a US Citizenship and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Phy s ical Requirement s :

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time with occasional travel.

The projected compensation range for this position is $90,200-$149,600. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
