Allied Universal Director of IT, Telecommunications Management in United States

Allied Universal® is hiring a Director of IT Telecommunications Management. The Director of IT Telecommunications is responsible for managing the design, implementation, and maintenance of wireless devices and wireless management software, wireline telecommunications infrastructure, and all phone systems, including VOIP. They manage and oversee vendor partnerships, such as Telecom Expense Management and Carrier relationships, as needed. The Director also collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality telecommunications services to our corporate office, operations, and sales employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for wireless and wireline telecommunications operations, aligning them with business objectives and industry best practices

  • Manage and oversee the Telecom Expense Management (TEM) vendor relationship as well as the wireless and wireline carrier relationships; negotiate agreement terms

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement by leveraging emerging technologies and solutions to enhance services; ensure adherence to Industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of telecommunications systems

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary

  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of telecommunications systems to meet customer SLAs and business needs

  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the financial performance of the telecommunications function

  • Partner with the finance department to develop and manage the organization's telecommunications, wireless, and wireline budgets; Track expenses, monitor costs, and identify cost optimization opportunities

  • Maintain records on orders, stock, issue resolution, carrier disputes, and replacement of equipment and parts

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • Must possess one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field with five (5) years of experience in a telecommunications function in the technology Industry

  • Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field with seven (7) years of experience in a telecommunications function in the technology Industry

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with ten (10) years of experience in a telecommunications function In the technology Industry

  • Experience working in corporate office or relevant telecommunications consulting experience

  • Experience leading, managing, and executing a high-volume mobile device depot, including exception management and reporting

  • Hardware, software, and basic networking industry experience

  • Experience with VOIP phone systems, and industry standards

  • Solid understanding of Telecom Expense Management (TEM)

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, executing against both individual as well as broader strategic initiatives

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly interfacing with senior professionals; highly collaborative

  • Ability to create and deliver informative and actionable presentations to corporate executives, senior management, and peers

  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Enterprise Mobility management (EMM) knowledge

  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills

  • Proven track record in leading and managing telecommunications teams in complex environments

  • Highly motivated and self-directed

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Experience with Ivanti (Mobile Iron)

  • Computer hardware, software, or other related technical certifications

  • Experience working in corporate office for a publicly traded company

BENEFITS:

  • Pay: $100,000 - $145,000 annual base with bonus eligibility

  • Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days

  • Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
