The Electric Power Division has an opening for an Electric Power Marketing & Sales Manager located in Dallas, Texas. As an EP Digital Marketing & Sales Manager at Caterpillar, you will grow services by demonstrating customer value and increasing loyalty through an increase in digital connections. This position leads a team of 3 sales reps, 1 marketing consultant and a senior digital program manager. They will frequently interact with large global accounts and our global dealer network.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads a global team of EP digital reps who drive EP connected asset goals enabling parts and services growth working closely with the DSD, Cat Digital, E&T Digital and EP ASRs/Rental Reps

  • Execute and enhance the Go to Market EP Cat Connect Strategy for retrofit and new deliveries connected asset targets

  • Lead several initiatives to ensure collaboration and alignment among EP, Cat Digital and E&T Digital including creating dealer connectivity targets for aftermarket and new deliveries, supporting the Digital Excellence Program and Get Connected program through dealer development

  • Responsible as the primary contact for the super user (dealers and customers) giving high level sales training on the EP Digital product which includes sales techniques, Cat RAM demos, high level application/installation support, value of connectivity messaging, dealer best practices. They will tailor their sales conversations based on the stakeholders from multi dealer customers, large fleet customers, dealer rental fleets, CVA customers, and single gen sets customers

  • Owner of inventory forecast for product link hardware, VOC/VOD for NPI programs along with aftermarket needs

  • Provide leadership and strategy to the team that will execute 2-4 Global Training sessions, 50-100 local dealer training sessions and 15-30 training webinars. This person will ensure a simple and consistent message is delivered

  • Create a strategy to enhance Field Follow leveraging goodwill and utilizing google analytics to ensure a quality customer experience

  • Create a strategy to enhance the internal and external communication process along with documentation and own the EP Digital dealer website using google analytics to ensure it is effective for the dealers. This person will own the collection and documentation of competitive information gathering

  • Collect new EP digital feature requests including configuration files and certifications from dealers/customers and support the leader’s prioritization process. This role also brings key initiatives and issues to the EP Digital Technical Team and key EP stakeholders to ensure prioritization and resolution is met for the dealer. This role will need to understand the complete process for a successful connection

  • Ensure that Caterpillar Electric Power Division will be the leader in connectivity services enabling part sales through scalable and also customer tailored subscription services

  • May be responsible for performing other job duties occasionally as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • College or university degree required

  • 8+ years of experience in various functions related to sales, marketing, dealer development

  • Demonstrated knowledge in strategy development and business acumen

  • Previous experience working across the enterprise (GASD, DSD, Cat Digital, E&T industries, ITDD, etc.)

  • Previous leadership experience

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Prior Field Experience

  • Strong communication skills and Change Management

  • Self-starter with excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills

  • Strong influencing skills to develop a collaborative/cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the business unit

  • Experience with EPD products/applications, parts, digital connectivity offerings or dealer operations

  • Successful project management (i.e. 6 Sigma, CPS)
