Summary
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Food & Beverage Manager at the Waco Convention Center. We are seeking a unique F&B Manager to join our F&B team. Under general supervision of the Director of F&B, the Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Includes the following:
Hiring and Training of all Food & Beverage Servers, Cashiers and Bartenders
Maintaining labor costs and budget goals.
Fulfilling the service per each Banquet Event Orders (BEO).
Maintains an active role in local hospitality community and professional associations.
Attend in-house event-related meetings and relays immediate changes with other departments.
Maintaining all Banquet equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance.
Maintain a Health Department score of 90 or higher.
Must be creative in designing buffets and coffee break décor.
Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service is a must
Position is very hands on with excessive interaction with clients during events.
Ordering linen and maintaining uniforms.
Responsible for Inventory Control, Beverage Inventory, ordering, receiving and controls.
Responsible for Payroll, Cash Handling and banquet Checks
Daily contact with the Food & Beverage Director, Operations Managers and other convention center employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises all hourly F&B Staff
Supervises and trains contract labor
Training of all banquet and bar employees
Qualifications

Skills and Abilities
Advanced oral and written communication skills
Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility
Results oriented individual with the ability to meet required budgetary goals.
Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and inter-personal skills
Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
Computer skills to include Excel programs
Serve-safe certified
Ability to be creative with buffet presentations and maintain a quality product
Attention to detail and service oriented.
Education and Experience
At least four years of management experience in a banquet facility servicing meals for large events
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
