Informatica ETL Developer Job Description Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop, and Maintain ETL Processes: Create and manage ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, PowerExchange, and other related technologies.

  • Data Integration: Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement efficient data integration solutions.

  • Performance Optimization: Optimize ETL processes for performance and efficiency, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum throughput.

  • Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the ETL process, implementing data validation and cleansing routines.

  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct unit and integration testing of ETL processes, troubleshoot issues, and provide post-production support.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes, data mappings, and workflows.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and contribute to database design decisions.

    Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in ETL development, with a strong focus on Informatica tools.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter and other Informatica products.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with databases like Azure DB and SQL Server

  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and BI architecture.

  • Knowledge of Insurance, Guidewire PolicyCenter and Policy Migration Tool will be added advantage.

  • Experience with UNIX/Linux scripting and scheduling tools.

  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques and schema designs (e.g., star, snowflake schemas).

  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
