THE JOB
We are seeking a General Manager to oversee business operations at a Live Nation venue in the Minneapolis area ensuring that the venue and all related matters operate within the scope of Live Nation standards, policies and procedures.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Establish and maintain high standards of customer service for staff, customers and vendors
Identify and maximize revenue drivers while optimizing the overall guest and artist experience
Possess excellent working knowledge and oversight of Health & Safety and Security plans and protocols
Oversee Recruiting, training, scheduling, and motivation of a highly skilled and functioning team of full and part-time staff
Manage team to high standard through clear communication of goals and expectations
Create and maintain a positive venue culture with employees, guests, and visiting artists
With executive team, develop and implement best practices for traffic and parking operations
Collaborate with all departments and divisions including Marketing, Premium Seat Sales, Food and Beverage, Ancillary Sales, Security, and Sponsorship teams to create innovative offerings that drive incremental revenue growth, fan and partner engagement, safety, and profitability
Responsible for meeting staffing levels and budget targets of
Manage relationship with State and municipal governments
Create and maintain positive interactions and partnerships with landlord/partner, local business and homeowner organizations
Oversee food and beverage and merchandise performance and strategies (point of sale ratio, variety, etc.)
Day to day management of all venue vendors/subcontractors, possibly including but not limited to HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Landscaping, Cleaning, Security, Trash/Recycling
Work with legal department on contracts and insurance requirements for all outside contractors and vendors
Promote and establish ticketed venue rental events and work with team on budgeting and operations of Special Events
Work closely with Live Nation promoters and Venue Nation Operations management and provide direction on standards and compliance to venue team
Coordinate and facilitate event set-up with Operations Manager and team
Oversee implementation of Live Nation policies and procedure and protocols, including those related to security, system of authority, and accounting
Perform and execute timely financial Flash Reports after events. Understand and perform event settlement functions
Create and update event and venue budget forecasts, including operational and production expenses and ancillary revenue streams.
Implement and comply with the company’s audit procedures
Ensure that employee performance is monitored and reviewed
Manage employee attendance records
This position typically supervises many exempt and non-exempt positions
Responsible for meeting staffing levels and budget targets for each event
Ensures advance contact for each show with tour/event production managers. Fulfills requirements with input on budget from Talent booking division
Performs or confirms advance contact with tour/event security directors. Fulfills requirements with input from LN Global and regional security management
Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
On site for events prior to load in and until load out
Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the executive management
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Minimum 5 years experience as a general manager or operations manager in a hospitality related business
Ability to perform all job duties and responsibilities
Requires excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
Must have expertise in profitability analysis and budgeting
Exhibits strong problem-solving skills in long term and immediate situations
