We are seeking a motivated Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) Team Lead with an active Secret clearance to join our team. This is a Remote position.
Job Summary:
As an MBSE Team Lead, you will provide technical guidance and workload management for junior staff, contributing to the success of our projects. You will lead the development and integration of digital models documenting and simulating Navy systems. You will review and abstract data from technical documentation and provide technical guidance to the team as the information is incorporated within system models using tools like Cameo Systems Modeler. You will be responsible for evaluating possible approaches, identifying the benefits and challenges of each approach, and making recommendations for a preferred approach given customer needs and constraints. Collaboration with customers to validate and refine each approach is a significant aspect of this role.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing and integrating digital models of Navy systems to be used for documentation, engineering analysis, and simulation
Reviewing, extracting, and abstracting data from technical documentation for incorporation in system models
Working within Cameo Systems Modeler to build representative models of Navy platforms, systems, and processes
Creating and developing novel approaches to integrate MBSE models with existing Navy processes and procedures
Guiding and mentoring junior modelers in implementing novel approaches to meet customer needs
Addressing technical questions from junior staff, peers, and customers
Performing quality assurance reviews of models and products developed by junior staff and peers
Maintaining configuration management of model repositories
Delivering final products to customers
Providing work assignments to junior modelers
Monitoring and directing personnel to confirm technical progress
Interfacing with personnel managers to plan workforce availability
Presenting technical information to customers
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a similar field from an ABET-accredited program
5+ years of relevant professional experience is required
5+ years of experience with Cameo Systems Modeler
5+ years of experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of shipboard control systems, operational technology, and/or network infrastructure.
OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Language Professional (OCSMP) SysML Certifications.
International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certifications.
Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work effectively in a remote working environment.
A dedicated, quiet, and ergonomically appropriate workspace conducive to productivity.
Ability to sit at a desk or workstation for extended periods while working on a computer.
The projected compensation range for this position is $84,900.00-$141,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
