This is a 12-month Fixed Term opportunity that can be based at any of Aon’s Corporate Office locations within New Zealand.

How this opportunity is different

You will have the chance to ensure that we have an effective operational compliance framework across our business operations. You’ll be tasked with ensuring that this framework is meeting our Global, Regional and Local business compliance requirements, along with ensuring that we are meeting our relevant regulatory obligations.

What the day will look like

  • Collaborate with our Legal and Compliance team in the development and management of our Operational Risk Control framework.

  • Take the lead and ownership of any implementation or maintenance activities for the framework.

  • Continually developing and implementing tools and ways of working that will enhance our Operational Risk outcomes.

  • Playing a key part in creating and fostering an enterprise compliance culture

  • Ensure the breadth and effectiveness of risk and compliance controls within client service delivery .

  • Track and report on Risk and Incident logs as well as remediation activities.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Leadership experience in a similar role coming from within Financial Services or another similarly highly regulated environment.

  • A sound understanding of regulatory requirements and business obligations within Financial Services.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and successfully embedding Operational Compliance frameworks.

  • A high degree of commercial competence and proficient business planning capabilities and the ability to be effective at both an operational and strategic level.

  • Strong engagement and communication skills and being able to confidently embed key messaging across colleagues at varying levels.
