Autodesk is seeking a Product Support Representative to join our Engineering Services Team to assist our customers and help develop our business in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global market-leading software company within the civil and environmental engineering field. We focus on water management including drainage design, flood management and dynamic modelling of rivers, storm and foul drainage and water supply systems. As this is a relatively junior role, our ideal candidate will have about 1 to 2 years work experience preferably in a support or Civil Engineering Consultancy role or similar.

This role relates specifically to our InfoDrainage software product, which is used extensively by consultant civil engineers, developers, house builders and local authorities for the design of both storm and foul drainage systems to be presented as part of planning applications. No prior knowledge of InfoDrainage is required.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an individual who is patient, engaging and knowledgeable when dealing with support enquiries. They should be outgoing and enthusiastic when speaking to customers, but also self-motivated, with an attention to detail when producing technical content.

  • Technical customer support.

  • Technical report writing

  • Preparation of software training videos

  • Liaising with our sales and development teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • Provide first line technical support for InfoDrainage , by phone, email, or web demonstration

  • Take ownership of enquiries and ensure that they are dealt with in a timely and professional manner

  • Consult with colleagues within the customer services team and in other departments as necessary

  • Key to our technical support is a vast library of technical articles which can be accessed by us and our customers. A large part of the role is producing new articles and updating existing ones whilst ensuring that they are easily searchable.

  • Our training courses are provided ‘on-demand’ through a series of videos. The role will involve preparing the technical content, then working with our content creation team who will provide the voiceover and video editing

  • From time to time, you may be required to provide technical backup to our non-technical sales team by attending joint meetings and by corresponding directly with potential customers. You may also work with our development team to highlight issues within the software and test and comment on fixes and new features.

  • Excellent communication skills including fluent spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of CAD and GIS

  • An enthusiasm for working with IT infrastructure

  • An ability to work with minimal supervision and to meet tight deadlines

  • Someone who is amiable and helpful when working in a team environment

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in an engineering or science related discipline such as, Geography, Civil Engineering or Environment Science or equivalent work experience

  • Knowledge of InfoDrainage, Civil3D SSA, MicroDrainage or other water supply software would be an advantage but is not mandatory as training will be provided

  • Knowledge of a 2nd European language including any of the following: French, German, Spanish

  • We are open to consider candidates based outside of the UK ideally based in the Eurozone such as France, Germany, or Spain with a maximum time difference of 1 hour
