Position Snapshot

The Scheduling Coordinator organizes the administrative logistics for scheduling inbound/outbound hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials between facilities and customers. Schedules product delivery efficiently to ensure that waste is safely and appropriately treated and/or disposed of in accordance with facility, state and federal requirements.

Day in the Life

After booting up your computer and grabbing your favorite morning beverage, you can expect to:

  • Provide administrative support of paperwork and schedules for inbound/outbound materials.

  • Interface with customer/transporter/operations to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with operations and vendors to ensure waste is scheduled appropriately and product is delivered

  • Ensures appointments into the end facility are scheduled and communicated to drivers.

  • Prepares proper paperwork including but not limited to: manifests, bill of ladings, and container labels.

  • Complies with all standard operating procedures.

  • Ensures records are retained in a compliant manner.

  • Performs other, related duties as assigned. These are duties may not be specifically listed in this description, but which are within the general nature typically associated with the employee's level of work.

What you need to apply

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 0-2 year's laboratory experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of RCRA as it relates to waste characterization and waste processing protocols preferred.

  • Familiarity with DOT/TSCA/Hazardous Waste regulations preferred.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening

  • Excellent customer service experience

  • Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Pro

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to problem solve both analytically and creatively, be able to work effectively under pressure with short time constraints and complex situations.

  • Proven organizational skills

  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
