Senior Manager - Validation Engineering

Job Description

As a Senior Manager of Validation Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a team of validation engineers that are responsible for evaluating new silicon designs. This leadership role will interface with other functional leaders and report to leadership on strategy/status/results. This growing business is looking to expand and is looking for a leader who has a strong technical background in semiconductor validation (Power experience is preferred). Key activities will be to develop bench evaluation strategies, schedules, and resourcing. Work to identify technical hurdles, identify ways to improve efficiency of the team through automation as well as implement clear execution of the verification plan. Work with design and systems to generate the validation plan and criteria. A good understanding of good eval board design concepts for power and mixed signal testing.

Qualifications

Experience in Validation leadership role:

  • 5+ to 10+ years

Degree & Education:

  • BSEE or greater or Professional equivalent. Programming in C++, Python, Other.

Complexity & Problem Solving :

  • Work on problems of significant and unique challenges/issues with no guidance and full accountability. Ability to establish new processes and methodologies as needed.

Collaboration & Interaction:

  • Establish relationships with functional teams, collaborate with other test leaders in the organization. This role will report to a director.

Knowledge & Application:

  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to set priorities and align with team members.

  • Strong mentorship skills.

  • Strong lab equipment understanding

  • Experience with automating lab equipment.

  • Strong analog design knowledge as well as digital pattern-based validation.

  • High voltage or high-power testing experience

  • Ability to collect technical information and organize / present it as needed.

  • Excellent communication skills
