Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist to join our energetic and dynamic marketing team.

We are looking for a motivated, self-driven marketer who can support the Director of Marketing and PeopleManagement Team in driving our overall customer and prospect marketing strategy including campaigns, social media, events and more. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of traditional, digital, and social media marketing as well as the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. This position will support all customer and prospect marketing efforts for Staff Management | SMX and SIMOS and will report to the Director of Marketing. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities will enable you to help drive the PeopleManagement brands forward.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute all marketing activities including demand generation, content, retention marketing, sales enablement development, events management, association relationships and industry specific marketing communications to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Work with marketing leadership to ensure that the marketing efforts are on target, on brand and meet the needs of the organization from a lead generation, retention and thought leadership position.

  • Partner with marketing functions (content, project management, digital, and creative) to create cohesive prospective customer campaigns as well as working with our sales and operations team to launch existing customer programs.

  • Assist Director of Marketing with brainstorming outside-the-box ideas to drive customer and prospect marketing strategy forward.

Core Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience with integrated lead generation/nurturing, up-sell/cross-sell, and retention programs and processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions, balancing analytical skills and creative thinking.

  • Extensive experience with marketing campaign reporting, optimization, and execution.

  • Experience in leading multiple projects in their entirety with strong project management.

  • Comfortable working in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders and partners.

  • Experience writing marketing and creative briefs and managing partners to achieving goals.

  • Knowledge of traditional, digital, and social media marketing

  • Organized and efficient work style, with impeccable attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude. Eager to learn and take on new projects in a dynamic and changing business environment

  • Willing and able to support cross-functional team members as needed

  • Must have a strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Marketing or Business) or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of marketing experience with previous experience in staffing, manufacturing and/or retail distribution/logistics being ideal.

  • Experience or familiarity in using marketing automation systems (Pardot/Salesforce & Mailchimp preferred)

  • Direct marketing experience including email, SEO/SEM, digital advertising, industry events/conferences, social media, associations and partnerships management and traditional marketing methods.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualification:

  • Candidate preferred to be in or near Chicago, Illinois

The salary for this position is anticipated to range from $65,000 - $97,100 per year. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
