Work experience to include direct experience managing large grants from US Government agencies, institutional foundations, or individual mega donors. Proven experience effectively managing large projects and successful resolution of implementation challenges. Demonstrated ability to facilitate multi-stakeholder engagement.
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer.
Travel: Up to 30% of time both in development and fragile contexts.
Estimated Salary Range: $94,000.00 - $110,000.00
The Job
World Vision is looking for a Senior Program Manager, WASH to support our programmatic work. Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) are at the heart of child well-being and foundational to World Vision’s mission for all children and their communities to experience life in all its fullness. As our work looks to transition and advance with only 5 years remaining on the calendar to achieve the 2030 U.N. Sustainable Development Goals, World Vision must accelerate efforts. We are in the early stages of building our next 5-year Global WASH Business Plan, outlining our commitment to invest over $1 billion over the next five years to extend the impact of our work across 42 countries. This plan will have increased efforts supporting financing solutions for WASH. As a Senior Program Manager, you will support a portfolio of WASH programs and lead the operational efforts of WASH projects that integrate financing solutions, working closely with the Director of WASH Financing Solutions at VisionFund International. In this role, you will engage with field teams to design, implement, and scale WASH initiatives that leverage financing mechanisms to meet the needs of communities we serve. This role is designed for a dynamic, proactive individual ready to make a tangible impact by connecting financing strategies with WASH initiatives that drive meaningful, sustainable change.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Project design and development: Collaborate with field teams to design and refine WASH programs that incorporate financing solutions to build a pipeline of fundable opportunities.
Capacity building: Provide training and support to other program managers, field staff and local partners on governance and financial processes associated with water systems and other WASH initiatives ensuring effective integration into WASH programs.
Stakeholder engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with partners, financial entities, and field offices to support successful execution.
Operational Implementation: Support field-based projects that are incorporating financing solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic direction.
Monitoring and evaluation: Support development and implementation of M&E frameworks to track effectiveness and financial sustainability of WASH projects.
Problem-solving and adaptation: Work collaboratively to address challenges and adjust project plans as needed.
Reporting and documentation: Prepare internal and external facing reports and presentations on project progress, outcomes, and best practices.
You Bring These Skills:
Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate complex projects across multiple locations and teams.
Experience in working with financing mechanisms, preferably in WASH.
An understanding of water service authorities and water service providers, especially understanding tariff setting and collection methodologies.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in excel spreadsheets and management information systems
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in multi-cultural settings.
Demonstrated adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to challenges.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years).
In addition to education or education equivalent, requires a minimum of 6-8 years of relevant professional experience.
Work experience to include direct experience managing large grants from US Government agencies, institutional foundations, or individual mega donors.
Proven experience effectively managing large projects and successful resolution of implementation challenges.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate multi-stakeholder engagement.
Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary Range & Benefits:
• WVUS Pay Grade Level: 226
• Typical hiring range is $94,000.00 - $110,000.00
• The full range for this position is $82,000.00 - $131,000.00
• This range applies to locations with a market similar to our Washington D.C. and Seattle-area office. A different range may apply based on your work location.
• Job offers are based on relevant qualifications and pay equity.
