As the Senior Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for coding and modifying websites and web applications, from layout to function and according to a client's specifications.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join our team for a fully remote 6 month contract with likelihood of extension into a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of Salesforce development experience, specializing in creating intuitive and visually outstanding user interfaces. You will be responsible for building and defining the design of the Salesforce environment, implementing sophisticated solutions, and navigating cross-functional efforts. The role requires strong technical ability, project management skills, strategic and tactical thinking, and effective engineering leadership and communication skills. The candidate must be innovative, team-oriented, and adept at synthesizing various technologies into highly scalable, simple products that customers will love.

What You’ll Do

  • Managing configuration and coding of new and existing Salesforce features, including user management, security, custom objects, validations, workflows, and third-party applications

  • Building solutions using Force.com, VisualForce, APEX, Lighting Web Components, Web Services, and API’s

  • Overseeing successful delivery of Salesforce projects using Agile/Waterfall methodologies and serving as the technical point of contact

  • Supporting cross-system integrations within the Salesforce ecosystem and with backend services and AWS technologies

  • Collaborating with product manager, project manager, business analysts, and solution architects to deliver tailored solutions that support business requirements and enhance user experience

  • Participating in the planning and analysis of system enhancement requirements and translating them into well-architected solutions

  • Maintaining sprint cadence and managing work ticket assignment based on story points and developer capability

  • Optimizing system architecture, workflows, and business processes according to best practices and business needs

  • Ensuring data governance standards and conducting regular data quality audits

  • Documenting code and metadata changes for cross-functional accessibility

  • Identifying and leveraging opportunities to improve business processes using Salesforce

  • Recommending when to use configuration vs code vs out-of-the-box products

  • Researching, designing, and implementing technical solutions to meet business requirements

  • Identifying opportunities to simplify and enhance the applications portfolio

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Salesforce Developer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or another technical field

  • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer 2 or Salesforce Platform App Builder level of knowledge in developing, testing, and deploying solutions

  • Tableau CRM & Einstein Discovery Consultant

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes and testing

  • In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce CRM application architecture coupled with a good understanding of around the business processes

  • Expert knowledge in one or more relevant development technologies such as Apex, Visualforce, Lighting Web Components, Salesforce Lightning, SQL

  • Deep expertise with Lighting Flows, Apex Triggers, and SOQL/SOSL, Pardot API’s, and RESTful/SOAP API’s

  • Proven knowledge of Salesforce Apex, Flow and the Lighting Component Framework

  • Has a track record of championing quality engineering – adamant that all code is written in a way that can be tested with unit tests

  • Experience writing and storing technical documentation

  • Experience working with high-performing teams using Agile and Lean methodologies and frameworks

  • Must be able to understand and clearly articulate business requirements

  • A proactive personality, with a can-do attitude

  • A fast learner with an analytical growth mindset, curiosity, and attention to detail

  • Resilient and high energy to drive to answers where not clear

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
