Job Summary:

Candidate will be a leader representing Software Engineering team for design projects. The candidate will ensure that solutions are developed and delivered meeting specifications and design criteria as defined in project scope. The candidate will have opportunity to work on variety of projects including conferencing and scheduling systems, smart home products etc. The candidate will be a part of high-performance, fast-paced global engineering team.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Track SW development activities for internal and external stakeholders

• Prepare project quotes, schedule and plans involving software development.

• Ensure timely delivery for all project milestones while following Jabil’s design quality process.

• Develop solutions from concept to finish product for Jabil’s customers.

• Create and review design specifications and other technical documentation relate to software/firmware

• Oversee design and integration of low-level drivers, abstraction layers, application, and other software components for embedded systems.

• Participate in board bring up, hardware/software debugging and troubleshooting.

• Design test setups and utilities to evaluate system performance

• Conduct technical discussions with customers, business units, partners, and project teams.

• Mentor junior members of team to sharpen their Software Engineering skills.

• Desire to work both independently and within a team in a demanding environment on complex projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited four-year college or university

• Minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience developing embedded solutions

• Expert of developing software using C/C++ and Python

• Demonstrable experience of working with embedded Linux

• Experience of Android and BSP customization is a big plus

• Hand-on experience of developing low-level peripheral drivers for MCU and high-performance SoC platforms.

• Familiarity digital and analog interface such as UART, SPI, I2C, ADC etc.

• Experience of developing solution for high-voltage battery system is a big plus

• Solid understanding of software development methodologies and project management tools
