Modivcare Sr Director, Transportation (Midwest) in United States

This position is responsible for owning the leadership of successful transportation execution across a region and requires the ability to collaborate effectively with peers to ensure the most effective strategy for organization's network.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Owns cost and performance for all Transportation Providers (TPs) moves in a geography.

• Leads strategic, large-scale projects for our Mobility business.

• Works cross functionally with Supply Chain, Transportation, and Client teams.

• Leads transportation operational initiatives (new delivery techniques and models) and TP onboarding and integration.

• Serves as the primary liaison between technology initiatives and the TP network with a primary focus on the establishment and propagation of best practices and standard work throughout our delivery network.

• Creates and influences adoption of solutions that improve our transportation network and provide a great customer experience.

• Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Transportation Managers.

• Measures performance, providing feedback, and establishing accountability across their team for individual and departmental performance.

• Prioritizes projects with biggest impact on our business, proposing and influencing adoption from relevant functional leaders.

• Utilizing a broad technical background and an ability to “roll up your sleeves” to jump in if needed.

• Finds practical and simple solutions to complex problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality.

• Leverages the Transportation leaders input and ideas and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the broader team.

• Owns improvement inputs and results, while recognizing the need for additional support and escalation of issues.

• Ensures overall project schedule that enables the teams to be successful based upon the project milestones.

• Works closely with Regional Transportation peers, Operations leaders and support staff (HR, Finance, Safety, Tech) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.

• Manages the full P&L cost of transportation for region.

• Oversees of the organization's vehicle procurement and maintenance for working group(s).

• Liaises with team on capacity strategies as well as developing and overseeing execution of action plans.

• Ensures Provider compliance is maintained as part of Provider performance oversight.

• Ensures overall network health for the assigned market/area through on-going participation with cross functional teams for network development and individual provider relations support.

• Ensures credentialing policies are followed and standards are adhered to.

• Ensures delivery and review of the provider performance reviews.

• Oversees corrective action plan administrations for transportation provider contract deficiencies and approves liquidated damages as appropriate.

• Approves settlement deductions and other payments as needed.

• Owns overall Network Digitization and assumes role of subject matter expert for all digitization initiatives.

• Occasional business travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Determines appropriate resourcing of staff in order to achieve goals and objectives.

• Builds an effective leadership team through mentoring and formal education that focuses on management and project management principles.

• Defines annual Key Performance Indicators aligned with corporate goals.

• Manages and mentors employees and/or managers on performance gaps, career development opportunities, and strategies.

• Manages and coaches employees and/or managers on all human resource related processes including onboarding, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, selection, terminations, compensation and rewards.

• Recognizes others’ contributions and share credit for success.

• Owns attainment of high employee satisfaction and retention.

• Leads development of program and initiatives within group to attain high employee satisfaction.

• Prepare and manages budget as assigned; analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions to maximize operational performance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to provide leadership support on the development, implementation and execution of all deployments, special projects or other Network Health related actions.

• Knowledge of organizational planning, budgetary administration, and controls.

• Knowledge of statistical and financial analysis techniques.

• High proficiency is MS Office packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Excellent provider relations management.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills communicating clearly and concisely with excellent presentation skills and the ability to lead meetings internally and externally.

• Ability to listen and understand information and communicate the same.

• Must possess good organizational skills.

• Ability to understand contracts for the purpose of meeting SLA’s and holding vendors accountable.

• Must be results oriented, customer focused, and exhibit good interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• Twelve (12) plus years experience in Transportation.

• Eight (8) plus years leadership responsibility.

• Advanced Healthcare and Transportation industry experience a plus.

• Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Salary Range: $159,900 - $175,000 annual
