DCL Corporation Sr. National Accounts Manager, Coatings in United States

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Reporting to the Director, Coatings & LATAM, the Sr. National Account Manager is responsible for developing relationship and sales volumes Key Accounts in the Coating, Construction, Cosmetic, Rubber, Adhesive, Engineering industries in the America's.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITEIS

The specific responsibilities of the Key Account Manager, while not limited to include:

  • Attain sales objectives and targets by tracking all relevant sales data and by efficient utilization of resources.

  • Responsible for day-to-day tasks including responsive and timely follow-up to customer requests.

  • To increase assigned product sales and market share in America's..

  • Gather and disseminate market information to assist with identifying threats, opportunities, and product development.

  • Identify, develop, and follow up on Opportunities (sales pipeline / sales funnel) utilizing Salesforce CRM and convert into profitable sales.

  • Identify and provide service levels to meet customer requirements.

  • Engage, develop and manage assigned key accounts and form long term business customer relationships built on trust.

  • Plan and execute Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR's) with key stakeholders with assigned customers.

  • Record and report call reports, samples, opportunities, and lost business utilizing Salesforce CRM.

  • Identifies major trends in key market segments and report activity in monthly reports.

  • Attend, participate and contribute in key technical and trade organization meetings and trade shows.

  • Provides direction to technical service group on projects involving key customers or critical applications.

  • Follow sales trends, open orders, and enter monthly update of Forecast located in Sharepoint for both DCL legacy and DCL BP business units by customer, by product by item.

  • Coordinates customer technical service including internal and customer troubleshooting and support, technical presentations, and quality/ complaint investigations.

  • Develops close working relationships with other DCL cross-functional departments, including R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Customer Service that create and promote an environment of cooperation and effectiveness necessary to meet the current and future needs of the business, both in sustainability and growth.

  • Supports and coordinates new product introduction at accounts.

  • Field questions regarding use and performance of our pigments for pigment applications for both sales staff and external customers.

  • Responsible for tracking and communicating competitive activities and identifying new growth opportunities in the market.

  • Implement price reviews.

  • Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field (Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing, Business or related field) required.

  • Minimum five plus years' experience in technical sales / marketing / applied technology for color solutions in the plastics, coatings, construction, cosmetic, rubber, engineering industry.

  • Knowledge of pigments market and its applications is desired.

  • Knowledge of Plastics, Coatings and Construction industry is desired.

  • Strong understanding of product line characteristics and applications

  • Strong financial acumen.

  • Must be computer literate in MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Salesforce CRM.

  • Physical requirements that include those required in a standard office environment as well as travel.

  • Experience in budgeting, capital expenditures, and standard costing.

  • Strong ‘hands-on' management style with proven ability to adjust style according to situation.

  • Proven managerial skills, proactive in attacking challenges and confident in setting and achieving stretch goals.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is based in the home office and thus requires discipline, time management, excellent internet, and Cell Phone coverage.

  • The position will require air, road and rail travel to customer locations, other company sites, trade shows up to 40%.

  • Must have the ability to accept responsibility, perform under stress, and adapt to changing priorities, duties, and responsibilities.
