Position Information:

Teladoc Health is a leading telehealth solution company enabling remote physician care anytime, anywhere. Under the general direction of the Solution Services Software Configuration Director, the Software Implementation Technical Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the technical implementation and end to end management of implementation projects for Teladoc Health. The Software Implementation Technical Project Manager collaborates with internal and external customers leading project teams on planning, scheduling and execution of the project. This job requires one to gain and have extensive knowledge of the Teladoc Health application specific to configuration of modules including a high-level understanding of the various levels of technology such as the SaaS model; cloud services, device management, usability, network and infrastructure setups, Teladoc manufactured hardware devices, including supported components, peripherals and various integrations dealing with a client’s Electronic Health Record systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects from start to finish according to established InTouch Health SLAs

  • Attend to all projects as the primary point of contact and owner

  • Lead, facilitate, coordinate, and track day-to- day activities required to ensure the project is completed on time, successfully, and in a manner consistent with organizational goals, departmental policies, established processes, and/or the standard terms and conditions of the contract

  • Manage all assigned projects according to the established ITH Implementations Standards and Model

  • Create and use project plans for assigned projects, which include clear milestones and assignment of project task responsibilities

  • Successfully manage the scope of the project, open items, including customer priorities

  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to identify risks to project success; develop effective action plans for resolution

  • Appropriately manage / escalate project issues or risks

  • Manage customer expectations of product and services

  • Provide leadership and direction for customers and the project team

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, verbal and written, with customers, project teams and leadership

  • Ensure customer satisfaction

  • Demonstrate ability of leading project teams and act as an effective team leader for all matrixed staff

  • Use of all governance tools (scope document, project status reports, risk and change logs, tollgates, etc.), for all assigned projects, to effectively manage all projects

  • Provide constructive performance appraisal input through peer review process

  • Attend to all technical training requirements necessary to perform the job

  • Must have a team player attitude

  • Must have great written and verbal communication skills to talk and walk clients thru every step of the implementation process, including attending to project operational cadence

  • Must be able to work with technical teams to identify solutions to challenges with the implementation project

  • Must apply technical knowledge to piece together hardware device and software installation process flows building and executing the appropriate project plan

  • Complete projects on time with the highest level of quality

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry-recognized project management methodologies

  • Possesses healthcare technical project management experience and demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding of the technical aspects of implementation specific to project management methodologies and relevant clinical and IT operations

  • Understanding of customer acute, post-acute, and community-based care use cases and workflows

  • Demonstrated understanding of implementation project governance expectations (scope management, tollgate, and risk & change management processes)

  • Has responsibility of orders, medium or large sized projects or teams

  • Project scope requires significant impact to customer workflow (multi-location)

  • Manages project scope of multiple InTouch products

  • Responsible for maintaining project schedule and timeline

  • Compliant with forecasting and backlog management processes

  • Participates in pre-sale process for medium or large size projects

  • Provides coaching, mentoring, and training for project team and peers

  • Demonstrates effective communication and engagement with customer

  • Able to effectively work across multiple departments (e.g. distributor, operations, sales, finance)

  • Ensures complete project closure including, customer acknowledgement, equipment reconciliation, and transition to Technical Assistance Center (TAC)

  • Demonstrates the professional and soft skills necessary to be an effective project manager

  • Ability to work with healthcare technical resources on product installations

  • Ability to provide high-level Admin training and basic product training to physicians and other clinicians

  • Proficiency with SaaS implementation, network connectivity, and cloud applications

Educational Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, with hospital technical operations experience is preferred

  • 5 years of healthcare related technical project management and leadership experience

  • Knowledge of emergency department, critical care, and operating theater business

  • Experience implementing and supporting healthcare IT software solutions, and experience with capital equipment model is a preferred

  • Knowledge of hospital administrative and procurement processes for the public and private sectors
