IHG ASSISTANT SECURITY MANAGER - REGENT PHU QUOC in Vietnam
Your Day-To-Day
Ensure all outlets, fridges, cupboards etc are fully secured when not in use or unattended
Assist to manager in monitoring and controlling departmental cost on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget
Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
To gather and collate intelligence and necessary information concerning the security and safety of the hotel, its guests, visitors, employees and contractors.
To patrol the internal perimeter of the hotel and residences (and when instructed, the external perimeter), all walk ways, all outlets, corridors and any other public areas. To ensure the security, safety and general welfare of each area and its occupants, together with the harmonious operation of such areas.
To provide whatever physical support which may be necessary to ensure the security, safety and harmony of the hotel, its guests, visitors, contractors, customers and employees.
To regularly inspect all fire hose reel, firefighting equipment, fire stairs, emergency exits. To record and report any defects or obstructions detected.
To record and report all maintenance defects which are detected during patrolling, particularly those relating to security and safety functions. e.g. faulty doors, locks, alarms, windows, plants, lifts and similar equipment.
To thoroughly be conversant with all the fire and emergency procedures of the hotel and when such an emergency does occur quickly assist staff, the police, fire brigade and other essential services in the implementation of those procedures.
To record and report all acts of willful neglect of duty by staff, improper behavior, inebriated or drug affected staff, hazardous, dangerous work practices, unhealthy or unclean operation or any other matters which necessary to report in the interests of, or the efficient operation of the site.
To regularly monitor the rear and side fences of the hotel and also the windows and balconies of the guest rooms to ensure that unauthorized entry does not occur.
When necessary, investigate any occurrence or event associated with the security, safety and welfare of the hotel, its guests, visitors, employees, contractors and prepare full detail of 'confidential incident report' for the information of Security Manager.
Establish good communication and good will with informal leaders and relevant members of local community
Coordinate and organize the day to day operations of the department including planning and controlling
Ensure all patrolling, inspection and escort duties are performed to a high standard
Monitor and maintain all product and performance standards and ensure action is taken when standards are not met
Ensure firearms and other weapons are not carried by staff when on duty
Oversee the security department including layout of security personnel on duty shift
Ensure the all security personnel as well as hotel’s staff are adhering to P&P and security procedures
Coordinate with the local investigator in crimes & accident handling and investigating
Prepare security plan for specific events (seminar, conference, government guest, with wedding etc.)
Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety.
May assist with other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree/higher education, qualification/equivalent in Security field.
Service years in the field: 5 years experiences.
Knowledge and skills:
Good writing skills
Good Interpersonal Skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Front Office System
Problem solving and organizational abilities
Language: Good in English
