JOB DESCRIPTION

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
General:
Responsible for the overall operation of the program. Works with the Service Director to establish and meet goals and objectives of the program, and to operate within established budget and program guidelines. Responsible for the health and safety of the environment and the clients of the program. Assure that confidentiality of individuals and records is maintained. Advocates for clients in the community and acts as positive role model on the job and in personal lifestyle.
Examples of Work Performed:
Regularly meet with staff to develop and maintain good employee morale and team spirit.
Plan and facilitate staff meetings and staff training events.
Regularly review performance of staff and provide direction as necessary.
Is competent and able to demonstrate technological and computer skills. Is proficient in working within the Electronic Health Record Environment and can train new staff to utilize all aspects of the EHR as needed when providing client services.
Review client records for completeness, accuracy and continuous quality management.
Accurately documents all client services and access activity as required by Tulare County HHSA and the State DHCS; assures that all client files are complete, accurate, and properly managed as per HIPAA and CFR42. Represents program in audits and site visits.
Establish, maintain and utilize a referral network of community agencies and health and social services for the participants of the program. Provides required reporting information to our partners as directed.
Oversees recruitment, training, and performance of Interns/Volunteers. Assists Director with scheduling and other relevant tasks.
As needed, facilitate recovery groups and provide educational instruction to participants of the program. Evaluate evidence-based material and outcomes.
Assure that participants of the program keep appointments with medical doctors, courts, therapists and others.
Oversee care and maintenance of the facility grounds and equipment, assuring that all are maintained in good condition at all times.
Any other duties required to meet established standards of licensing and certification, health and safety.
Comply with all Central Valley Recovery Services, Inc. policies and procedures.
Comply with all Codes of Conduct and best practice standards for SUD OP clinical services.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current State Approved SUDS counselor certification, 3 years program experience to include 1 year administrative experience; valid California Driver License and must be insurable. Must be off probation/parole a minimum 3 years.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; counselor certification as approved by DHCS.
Personal Qualities:
Ability to work with diverse groups of people; familiarity and understanding of the clinical and practical issues involved in early and on-going recovery from alcoholism and/or other drug abuse/addiction. Ability to train and supervise the work of others. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills for both internal program activities and representation in the community.
