Job Summary:We are seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to provide technical guidance and support for local and remote staff across multiple locations. As a Help Desk Technician, you are responsible for responding to email, chat, or phone queries and offering technical support to staff across the entire GWS Tool Group landscape.

IT Support Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Providing IT assistance to staff.

  • Training end-users on hardware functionality and software programs.

  • Resolving logged tickets promptly.

  • Monitoring hardware, software, and system performance metrics.

  • Updating computer software. as well as upgrading hardware and systems.

  • Documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests.

  • Keeping track of technological advancements and trends in IT support.

IT Support Specialist Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as an IT support specialist.

  • An Associate's degree in computer science or related field.

  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills

  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.

  • Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.

  • Proficiency in IT helpdesk software

  • Able to successfully multitask and prioritize service issues.

  • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and Google G-Suite user and group maintenance.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk or working on a computer.

  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds at a time.
