Corporate Hiring Solutions Certified Athletic Trainer in VOORHEESVILLE, New York

Job Position: Certified Athletic Trainer (CAT)Overview:Corporate Hiring Solutions is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (CAT) to provide comprehensive athletic training services. The CAT will work under the direction of the Director of Athletics to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of student-athletes through injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.Responsibilities:1. Injury Prevention and Evaluation:  - Implement injury prevention programs and protocols.  - Conduct pre-participation screenings and assessments.  - Evaluate and diagnose sports-related injuries.  - Develop and implement rehabilitation plans for injured athletes.2. Treatment and Rehabilitation:  - Provide immediate care and first aid for injured athletes.  - Administer appropriate treatment modalities, such as taping, bracing, and therapeutic exercises.  - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for injured athletes.  - Monitor and track athletes' progress during rehabilitation.3. Education and Communication:  - Educate coaches, athletes, and parents on injury prevention strategies.  - Conduct workshops and training sessions on proper warm-up techniques, nutrition, hydration, and recovery.  - Communicate with coaches, parents, and healthcare providers regarding athletes' injury status and treatment plans.4. Game and Practice Coverage:  - Attend scheduled practices, games, and events as directed by the Director of Athletics.  - Provide on-site medical coverage and emergency response during athletic events.  - Coordinate with coaches and officials to ensure athlete safety during competitions.Requirements:1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field. Current certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) from the Board of Certification (BOC).2. Licensure: Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in New York State.3. Experience:   - Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Certified Athletic Trainer, preferably in a school or sports setting.  - Experience working with student-athletes across various sports and age groups.4. Knowledge and Skills:  - Proficient in injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation techniques.  - Strong understanding of sports medicine principles and practices.  - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  - Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, healthcare providers, and school administrators.  - Familiarity with concussion management protocols and emergency response procedures.5. Certifications: Current certification in CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers.6. Physical Requirements:   - Ability to lift and move athletic equipment and assist with transporting injured athletes.  - Stamina to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours during athletic seasons.
