Requirements include registering with Jack of All Trades for this position. You will be employed by JOAT for the first 8 weeks prior to coming on as a Direct Hire.

The position is Monday through Friday. No weekends, no nights, and paid holidays. Hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm.

The Warehouse/ Manufacturing Associate is responsible for the packaging and shipping of product and a variety of manufactured products. The position is a support role for several areas of warehouse and manufacturing, including but not limited to packing orders, shipping order, and producing mattresses. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare orders by reading pick tickets accurately

2. Perform duties such as manual lifting, sorting, packaging, taping, and labeling of boxes

3. Move product and inventory using a forklift upon approval from supervisor

4. Produce vinyl mattress covers using a heat-sealing machine

5. Place fiber cores inside of mattress covers using repetitive pushing and pulling movements

6. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

7. Assist with loading and unloading of freight trucks and import containers

8. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat

9. Comply with all procedures, rules and regulations of the company

10. Perform related duties as required by supervisor

Physical Demands:

1. May be required to stand for long periods of time

2. May involve some repetitive motion

3. Must be able to life up to 50 pounds

4. May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling.

5. Do to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability

1. Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions

2. Must be able to read and comprehend measurements

3. Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels in the company

4. Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division

5. Perform basic visual quality inspections of products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
