ANSON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION Assistant Principal in WADESBORO, North Carolina
**Qualifications: School Administrators Degree / Licensure and License with a minimum of three years professional school level experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as assistant to the principal
- Help with facilitating the total school operation
- Successful teaching experience of at least three years
- Sound understanding of the school curriculum
- Competence with the North Carolina Teacher Performance Appraisal Process
- Commitment to Instructional Leadership
- Effective oral and written communication skills including adequate skills in technology
- Effective managerial skills in personnel, budget, scheduling and supervision
- Provide and supervise in a fair and consistent manner with an effective discipline system
- High standards, consistent with the philosophy, values, and mission of the school and district, in accordance with due process and other laws and regulations
- Supervise academic advisors in the implementation of the school wide plan for creating a classroom rich in learning and a positive culture of behavior
- Establish a professional rapport with students and with staff
- Display the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with students, parents, school personnel, and agencies associated with the school.
- Meet with parents regarding academic concerns and student discipline and behavior issues.
- Ensure a safe, orderly environment that encourages students to take responsibility for behavior and creates high morale among staff and students.
- Maintain positive, cooperative, and mutually supportive relationships with the central administration, parents, and representatives of resource agencies within the community.
- Other duties as assigned.
