SUMMARY

Manages all activities related to assigned projects; ensures they are performed in accordance with approved procedures, guidelines, specifications and regulatory requirements and within specific established budgetary and schedule goals and commitments. Coordinates major projects requiring complex organizational interfaces typically requiring management of a multi-organizational matrix team. Manages projects of a strategic nature with high potential impact to the Station. Oversees project and contractor activities for compliance with applicable codes and standards, quality expectations, and other technical requirements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

PROJECT COORDINATION PRODUCTION - SUPERVISOR:

• Coordinates development of project baseline, modification and outage scope and budgets. Chairs project controls oversight meetings. Identifies and reports on key performance indicators, specific variances and exceptions.

• Interfaces with departments, union and contractors, providing information to assist in achieving project budgets, schedules, and other requirements.

• Provides necessary contractor oversight and monitoring to assure compliance with all site requirements.

• Coordinates development of task estimates, project budgets, cash flows and integrated schedules for multiple projects, including implementation schedule.

• Identifies direct and support tasks necessary to successfully complete assigned projects and coordinate tasks with the responsible departments and vendors.

• Investigates and analyzes reported problems to determine causes and remedial/corrective actions to prevent recurrence; evaluates corrective actions proposed by others for appropriateness, applicability, and technical adequacy.

• Verifies compliance with terms and conditions and technical contract audits. Authorizes vendor payments based on meeting contractual requirements/milestones.

• Presents project status and issues at various forums including station employees and executive management meetings. Facilitates development and implementation of an integrated project team.

EDUCATION

• Bachelors degree in (preferably) Construction Management, Business or Engineering. (Preferred)

• Other: Without a degree, 5 years experience in nuclear, commercial or industrial construction/engineering, operation or maintenance which primarily focused on project management, contractor management, scheduling and cost control. (Required)

EXPERIENCE

• 10 Years + experience in nuclear, commercial or industrial construction/engineering or maintenance with primary focus on project management, contractor management, scheduling and cost control. Six (6) years must be nuclear specific. (Required)

• 5 Years + Prior supervisory experience including proven ability to coordinate complex projects. (Preferred)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

• There is no Certification or Licensure Listed

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (Preferred).

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accept ERO position as needed.

• Accept outage position as needed.

• Provide leadership and direction to responsible organization.

• Perform personnel activities for direct reports (promotions, salary changes, counseling, performance appraisals, development plans).

• Monitor organizational activities, evaluate impact of internal and external factors (e.g., technology, regulations, business environment) and implements response plans.

• Budget for ongoing and future expenses and monitor budget performance.

• Provide employees with tools and training necessary for them to perform their assignments. Resolves problems and interpersonal conflicts in the section.

• Knowledge of Company processes and procedures

• Firm understanding of STP Goals and long-term plans.

• Ability to monitor budget and schedule activities, as well as to identify unanticipated changes in budget and schedule and the impact of these changes.

• Ability to coordinate stakeholders’ involvement to ensure project completion in a timely, quality, and cost effective manner.

• Ability to apply knowledge of operating nuclear power plants systems and Technical Specifications requirements to plant modification and outage project planning and schedules.

• Ability to obtain and maintain Contract Technical Coordinator (CTC) and Contract Technical Manager (CTM) qualification.

• Ability to obtain Corrective Action Program (CAP) Manager qualification. To ensure CAP database is maintained correct and current.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.

• Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.

• Office, plant, and out-of-doors environment, in varied weather conditions.

• Inspection of work activities in all areas of the plant and power block, including ability to don normal industrial safety protective equipment and radiological protective clothing.
