Leadership & Team Development:
Lead a team of customer service, product management and account management professionals, providing strategic direction and fostering a high-performance culture.
Align team objectives with broader organizational goals, ensuring clarity, focus, and unity in pursuing strategic commercial targets. Inspire your team to innovate, think strategically, and drive results.
Build a culture of continuous improvement within the commercial function and ensure that the team is equipped with the right skills and capabilities to meet future demands.
Work closely with the senior leaders of the management team, contributing to strategic decision-making and ensuring seamless communication and alignment of commercial activities with the company’s strategic priorities. Being an integral member of the management team, playing a key role in driving business growth.
Commercial Strategy & Business Development:
Formulate and execute a robust commercial strategy to expand market share, increase revenues, and grow the company’s footprint in both existing and new markets.
Oversee and guide the sales team in developing and executing sales strategies that drive business development and revenue growth. Lead high-value negotiations and contract management with key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer loyalty.
Develop strategies to attract new clients and support Eurofins Agro Testing’s positioning as a market leader.
Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners. Serve as a strategic advisor to major clients, ensuring their needs are met.
Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive activities, and emerging market opportunities. Use data-driven insights to adjust commercial strategies and keep Eurofins Agro Testing at the forefront of innovation and market relevance.
Financial and Operational Excellence:
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and the tracking of sales performance to ensure the achievement of revenue targets and business objectives. Regularly report on commercial performance to the executive leadership team, identifying challenges and opportunities for growth.
Ensure commercial operations are executed efficiently, optimizing resource allocation and managing operational costs while driving profitability.
Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a distinct advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a senior commercial leadership role, ideally within the agricultural, food, or testing industries.
Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams. Strong track record of inspiring teams, driving collaboration, and achieving cross-functional alignment.
Strategic and Commercial Acumen: Experience in developing and executing successful commercial strategies, driving revenue growth, and negotiating high-value contracts.
Industry Expertise: Understanding of the agricultural testing, food testing, or related sectors. Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and technology innovations is highly beneficial.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization and with external clients.
Languages: Proficiency in Dutch and English is required.
