TRAX International is preparing for expansion of work at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) located on Wallops Island, Virginia, and is seeking candidates with technical and/or range operations experience. To help prepare TRAX for a smooth contract phase in and for longer term positions Managers for this critical mission during contract execution are contingent upon contract award.TRAX is a large business that performs prime contractor services today for NASA at Goddard Space Flight Facility, MD, Wallops Flight Facility, VA and the US Army at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ; Fort Greely, AK; and in the Republic of Panama. All permanent positions upon award are full-time and have generous health care, 401(k) and vacation benefits. Salaries are negotiable based on specific experience and proven performance.The TRAX ROST Manager is responsible for the execution of range projects such as pre- topost-launch support, range asset upgrade/replacement, and new system transition to operations. Duties and Responsibilities Our ROST Manager leads the WFF projects as directed by RMMO via WRC TOs onsite facility/engineering staff for Wallops Island, Bermuda, and Poker Flat locations. His/her duty station will be Wallops Island. The ROST Manager is responsible for all operational activities. This manager establishes goals, objectives, priorities, and work projects that integrate the site's mission for all operations. He/she provides expert technical advice and operational support to Senior Leaders on the operations and maintenance of sophisticated space and communications systems. Our ROST Manager plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials. This position strategizes process improvements to ensure everyone completes their tasks on schedule and maximizes processes and procedures while meeting customer expectations in terms of cost effectiveness. He/she leads, motivates, and supports a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment to ensure problem resolution, as well as partners with cross-functional Wallops Range Contract (WRC) teams to improve proprietary tools and systems.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technically related field* 10 years of experience managing range projects similar in scope* Experience in a similar environment supporting pre- and post-launch support and range assetsustainment activities* Experience developing and monitoring risk management controls and contingency plans* Experience with launch vehicles, telemetry, radar, range control center operations, video,network, software, timing equipment, data processing, communication equipment,metrological monitoring equipment, and power sustainment capabilities* Proven leadership experience and experience working with Union employees* PMP certification* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Intermediate Microsoft 365 tools experiencePhysical Demands and Working Conditions* The work of this position may be performed in an environmentally controlled office environment or outdoors * Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time* Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted* Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilitiesTerms of Employment and Eligibility Requirements
