Bio-Techne Shipping and Receiving Technician in Waltham, Massachusetts

The Opportunity

This position is responsible for shipping, receiving, and inventory maintenance to support the day-to-day operations of the Business Development, CLIA, and R&D business units. Essential to this role is an ability to leverage ERP system experience for shipping and receiving.

What You’ll Do

  • Unload merchandise from carriers and check condition of goods.

  • Receive merchandise in ERP system and validate accuracy of the packing slips to the purchase order.

  • Prepare and pack customer orders for shipment, which may involve dry ice/gel packs.

  • Enter shipping/receiving information into the ERP system.

  • Deliver merchandise to the proper area or requestor while following proper quality and regulatory guidelines and procedures.

  • Adhere to laws, regulations, and Exosome Dx policies and procedures.

  • Maintain physical condition of shipping/receiving area by ensuring that high standards of housekeeping are achieved throughout shipping, receiving, and inventory areas.

  • Ensure inventory accuracy by managing a successful cycle count program.

  • Maintain stockroom inventory supply through the analysis of consumption, reorder points, and order quantities.

  • Knowledge of the processes and safety compliance documents for handling stockroom activities (SDS, storage equipment maintenance, Kanban system, etc).

  • Ability to manage time, resolve challenges, and make decisions independently and effectively.

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment including but not limited to a pallet jack.

  • Knowledge and ability to handle chemical inventory.

  • Prior experience in a regulated environment required.

  • Other duties as assigned.
