DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Retirement Systems Intern, you will handle the preparatory work for estimate requests and correspondence as well as coordinate scheduling of retirement exit counseling sessions. Work involves manually creating reports and gathering salary, contribution, service, and other related reporting components to aid the regional rep in the confirmation of reported data. You will provide invaluable assistance with data entry, filing, mailing, and other routine clerical tasks to help retirement counselors and technicians with their essential functions. Additionally, you will answer the phone, greet and address the concerns of walk-ins with non-counseling issues, greet counseling appointments, and generally assist with routing office function and organization. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Temporary, part-time employment. Employment begins after completion of the interview and hiring process. Students must be able to remain employed through the end of the pay period in which they graduate. Students must be able to work a minimum of 10-15 hours every two weeks during the business hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Within these parameters, hours are flexible with school schedules. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements:

Interns must be a fulltime student (12 credits for undergraduates and 9 credits for graduate students) enrolled in a post-secondary education program for the next semester, be in good academic standing (2.0 Grade Point Average [GPA] or higher), and be at least eighteen years of age.

Office positions require computer proficiency, customer service, and professional skills.
