Salary Range
$63,732.46 - $76,193.04 (23-24 Contract Salary Schedule)
Working Hours and/or Working Conditions
WORKING CONDITIONS: Courses include on campus, online, remote, hybrid, and/or flexible learning. Dependent on needs of the department. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to department administration. SUPERVISION GIVEN: May give direction to part-time clinical and/or lab staff as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Coursework Modality: Knowledge of and demonstrated ability of teaching in various modalities such as on campus, online, remote, hybrid, and flexible learning. Academic Preparedness: -A comprehensive, current knowledge of Psychiatric/mental health nursing providing the foundation for effective teaching and learning. Comprehensive, current knowledge should be demonstrated by participation in professional associations, professional development, recognition, and research. Assessment: -Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to assess learning outcomes. Technological Proficiency: -Knowledge of computer-supported, -assisted, or based instruction and the ability to integrate into instructional practice. Curriculum Development: -Knowledge of relevant curriculum development. -Demonstrated ability to design or revise curricula to maintain relevancy and meet changing needs. Pedagogical Flexibility: -Knowledge of or commitment to learn and use a variety of pedagogical tools to enhance learning by students with varying backgrounds and learning styles. Shared Governance: -Knowledge of the concepts and practices of academic governance, including employee involvement and individual accountability. Community College Mission: -Knowledge of or commitment to learn the unique mission(s) in a comprehensive community college and its place in higher education. (This standard may be waived at the time of hire, but the newly hired teacher will be required to prepare a plan with his/her supervisor that will ensure the achievement of the standard by the end of the probationary period.)
