Actalent Supplier Quality Engineer in Warren, Michigan

Job Title: Supplier Quality EngineerJob Description

This position focuses on managing suppliers and providing oversight for suppliers that produce bumpers, grills, lamps, facias, wheel liners, and front and rear closure hardware such as struts, liftgates, and hinges. The daily responsibilities include managing a subset of suppliers based on either regional or commodity-focused assignments. The role involves close collaboration with suppliers in the US and Canada, as well as various groups within GM. The position requires learning about different parts and ensuring quality and compliance.

Hard Skills

  • 3 years minimum SQE OEM Experience (2-15 years)

  • Engineering Degree - ME/EE/Chem E

  • PPAP

  • Run it Rate at automotive supplier

  • Experience engaging OEM or Suppliers

  • Experience writing action plans

  • Performing audits

  • IATF quality gap identification and problem solving

  • Experience with injection molded parts

  • Experience with Class A parts

Soft Skills

  • Relationship Building

  • Strong communication skills

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to travel

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Warren, Michigan and some days remote.

Work Environment

Hybrid 3 days per week in office and local suppliers with 50% travel, in and out of state
