Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Warren, New Jersey

Description

We are offering a contract opportunity for an Accounting Clerk with a client is a rapidly growing industry. Located in Warren, New Jersey, our workplace is an environment where teamwork and efficiency are valued. The successful candidate will be tasked with a range of responsibilities, primarily focused on managing customer credit applications and records, and resolving billing transaction issues.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts receivable and payables, ensuring timely and accurate processing

• Prepare and distribute deductible invoices

• Daily preparation of collection folders, ensuring all necessary documentation is included

• Assist in resolving any billing transaction issues that arise

• Provide excellent service to all customers, answering inquiries and resolving issues promptly

• Process non-payment cancellation and reinstatement notices, following company guidelines

• Maintain accurate customer credit records, updating information as necessary

• Use Excel Formulas and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data

• Perform bank reconciliations and adjust journal entries as required

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of accounting,

• Demonstrate proficiency in adjusting journal entries and managing bank reconciliations.

• Have experience in handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

• Show a strong command of Excel formulas and Microsoft Excel for financial data management.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting tasks.

• Display excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Exhibit strong communication skills for effectively liaising with different departments.

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of financial regulations and standards in the insurance industry.

• Show the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Be willing to continuously learn and adapt to new accounting software and technologies.
