Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Medium Voltage Electrician - Warren State Hospital in Warren, Pennsylvania

Are you searching for specialized electrical work in the operation, maintenance and repair of medium voltage electrical systems and equipment? Warren State Hospital is seeking a full-time Medium Voltage Electrician to join our team. You will be responsible for skilled work at the journeyman level of the installation, maintenance, and repair of medium voltage electrical systems, secondary electrical systems, energy management systems, communication systems, signal systems, fire alarms, and related equipment/systems of various voltages. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Medium Voltage Electrician, you will perform a variety of skilled duties operating and maintaining electrical power distribution systems and associated equipment with a voltage up to 23,000 volts. This work involves installing and maintaining transformers, switchgears, and emergency standby generators; repairing and replacing underground cables; identifying and troubleshooting problem areas; and installing, testing, and maintaining electrical machinery, devices, and associated equipment. This includes a variety of tasks in the maintenance, repair and installation of electrical equipment, motors, appliances, elevators, fire alarm systems, fiber optics, telecommunications, medium voltage distribution & switch gear systems, and other related equipment in support of the overall goals and objectives of the Maintenance Department at Warren State Hospital.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave, and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Overtime: as needed Travel: as needed May change based on operational needs.

Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Five years of journey-level experience in the electrical trade; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Conditions of Employment: This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License which is not under suspension.
