Jacobs Continuity Operations Planner (IT Network Support) in Warrenton, Virginia

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, Implement, and maintain continuity of operations plan in accordance with FEMA guidelines to ensure the resilience and uninterrupted operation of IT networks..

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams and organization's functional areas to ensure operational requirements are included in continuity plans.

  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to identify critical IT network functions and processes.

  • Develop, plan, execute, and lead training and exercises to prepare staff for executing continuity plans during emergencies.

  • Coordinate with external/lateral organizations to align plans with national preparedness frameworks.

  • Ensure program plans are nested within and consistent with parent organization's plans.

  • Participate in continuity community's planning efforts and exercises.

  • Develop, implement, and manage program's succession plan.

  • Prepare and present briefs as required.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI

  • 7 years of relevant experience in continuity of operations planning.

  • Experience with IT network support and infrastructure..

  • Knowledge and understanding of FEMA’s National Incident Management System (NIMS) and National Preparedness Framework.

  • Professional Continuity Practitioner Certification from FEMA or equivalent.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Expert use of MS Visio and Project and proficient use of MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Ability to travel (about 10-25%) primarily throughout the National Capital Region; Other travel locations may be required as well.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, IT, or related field; Master’s degree.
