ENTRUST Solutions Group IT Network Engineer in Warrenville, Illinois
Description
Fully Remote can be located anywhere in the U.S
What You’ll Do:
Providing network support and resolving connectivity issues.
Configuring hardware and software to optimize network communication.
Setting up LAN and WAN networks, turn up ISP circuits and provide technical support service providers
Monitoring and maintaining network servers and performing upgrades.
Performing system administration tasks and ensuring network security.
Documenting processes and monitoring network performance metrics.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
5+ years’ experience in a computer networking role in a business environment.
Familiarity with a wide range of desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, Acrobat Pro, etc.
Experience with security and protection systems, including anti-virus and anti-intrusion.
Experienced with Cisco technology
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, M365 and Group Policy management.
Knowledge and experience with multi-server network environment (Microsoft/Linux), LAN/WAN, MS Entra (Azure), MS O365, MS SQL and VMware Vsphere/Microsoft HyperV. SharePoint experience is a plus
Ability to quickly assess new technologies and develop business case recommendations for applying technology to organizational needs.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify and compare the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
