Actalent Mechanical Test Engineer in Warsaw, Indiana

Job Title: Mechanical Test EngineerJob Description

As a Mechanical Test Engineer, you will independently perform mechanical and functional testing to support the design characterization, verification, risk assessment, and supplier changes of orthopedic implants and instrumentation. Your role involves performing various mechanical tests such as fatigue, endurance, static testing, tensile testing, corrosion testing, and load to failure. You will prepare test specimens, perform laboratory experiments, analyze data using statistical analysis, and maintain thorough laboratory records. Additionally, you will write protocols, reports, and procedures, ensure adherence to safety policies, and communicate technical findings and challenges professionally.

Job Type

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Warsaw, Indiana and some days remote.

Work Environment

The role requires working 3 days a week, which may extend up to 5 days depending on testing needs. You will be expected to ensure safety and compliance in all activities, and communicate effectively with various teams.
