Citigroup Product Control Analyst in Warsaw, Poland
Location : Citibank Europe, Warsaw, Prosta 36, Generation Park
Citibank Europe is the main EU banking entity for Citi in Europe with a global presence. It covers several key business lines including Markets and Securities Services, Integrated Risk, Treasury and Trade Services, Corporate and Investment Banking, Consumer and many others.
Job purpose:
The Corporate Treasury Analyst is responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Finance team. The overall objective of this role is to control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and overall P&L and Balance Sheet reporting. The region in scope will be Asia so it can be impacting the working hours (7am – 15pm)
Key responsibilities:
Daily and monthly reporting of P&L (Profit and Loss) for CTI desk, including control and analysis of the underlying transaction data for different financial products, mainly: FX, Bonds, Credit.
Daily and monthly Balance Sheet reporting for the desk, including review of business level drivers and correctness of system data
Daily review and analysis of PAA (Profit Attribution Analysis) including new trades, MTM and associated commentary on key risk factors and market moves
Review of daily funding rates for different currencies used for Transfer Pricing calculation
Monthly reconciliation between reported P&L and the General Ledger.
Improve Finance processes and strengthen the Control environment as well as ensuring great communication across Treasury Controllers and other functions like Valuation Control team, Front Office team and Operations
Key skills and qualifications:
1-2 years of Finance related experience
Fluent spoken and written English and strong communication skills, as well as energy and motivation to work in Finance area.
Strong analytical skills and MS Office knowledge (mainly Excel); Tableau, Knime, MS Access as an advantage.
Basic financial product knowledge is required (FX, Forwards, T-Bills, Bonds, IRS, Balance Sheet) as well as general Finance/Markets knowledge
Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
