Senior Business (Intelligence) Analyst

The Role

  • The Senior Business (Intelligence) Analyst for the CBRE Business Analytics group acts as a project manager and technical lead for business intelligence projects focused on real estate data analyses for CBRE’s clients. Through data warehousing, visualization, and examination, this position helps our clients optimize their operations across all service lines: facilities management, project management, finance, portfolio administration, cost forecasting, etc

  • You will be a key member of the global expert’s team, working closely with our clients and database technical team to automate data collection from source operational systems, aggregate and standardize the information in a data warehouse, and develop Tableau dashboards that leverage the warehouse to generate meaningful client insights

  • This position gives you opportunity to gain analytics and reporting competences and software development competences, implement process excellence and innovations for the leader in real estate services cooperating with the group of experts and talents around the globe

  • The ideal candidate possesses a broad skill set. Required skills include: strong technical capabilities with data manipulation and data modelling; advanced Tableau knowledge; extensive project management experience ; and client-facing communications.

  • Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and optimize creative data visualizations and dashboards (primarily in Tableau) to derive actionable intelligence.

  • Perform both technical lead and project manager responsibilities for business intelligence projects for a variety of corporate and government clients.

  • To participate in the whole cycle of dashboard and analytics development from understanding Clients’ needs through data sourcing, development of dashboards and analytics in Business Intelligence software to hyper care and on-going support after the delivery

  • Aggregation and analysis of quantitative data; forecast and trending of performance data.

  • Assuring data integrity and effective reports validation

  • Lead on problem solving team that develops recommendations based on data interpretations.

  • Prepare formal written reports describing project methodology, scope, key assumptions, and results.

  • Present progress and results to clients (both in-person and virtually) and collects feedback for revisions.

  • To propose initiatives for improvements, advanced analytics, data visualization and analytics

Requirements:

  • Fluent English in speaking and writing is a must

  • Excellent data management, data modelling, and data analysis skills

  • Ability to lead client-facing communications including requirements gathering, managing client’s expectations and maintaining relationship

  • Create, maintain and optimize data visualizations and dashboards (in Tableau, Power BI or similar solutions)

  • Ability to build user stories and apply UX concepts and best practices;

  • Extensive project management experience

  • Ability to present information to a variety of different audiences (both internal and external)

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, systems and processes quickly

  • Attention to details with a strong focus on accuracy, data validation and data integrity

  • Focused on getting things done

  • Organized, able to work independently and effectively manage workload

  • Highly self-motivated and showing initiative, flexible and collaborative

  • Responsible and mature attitude (responsibility for the managed reporting projects)

  • A creative thinker and a problem-solver
