As a Cloud Automation Specialist , you will be at the forefront of developing and deploying automation solutions that are critical to the operational excellence of our cloud environments. Your hands-on approach will ensure that our cloud platforms are not only up-to-date but also equipped with the latest features and automation processes to guarantee efficiency and reliability.
Join the Core Cloud Team
You will join a team of passionate cloud teams who are the backbone of the GN Group's global technological initiatives. Our Core Cloud team is a collaborative and innovative group, committed to supporting and evolving the foundational technologies that empower our business.
In this role you will be the spearhead in the development and implementation of cutting-edge cloud automation solutions, ensuring alignment with our existing development frameworks and industry best practices. Our work environment is agile and global, requiring collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including our Security and Cloud Modernization teams.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
Take part in the development, implementation, and automation of comprehensive cloud automation solutions for our cloud environments, aligning with current automation and development frameworks and industry best practices.
Continuous improvement and implementation of key functionalities needed – expanding the functions needed to automate and centralize processes.
Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud automation and support both the current feature set, and assisting the Cloud Architect on new features for implementation.
Work closely with IT and Security teams to implement cloud security measures into our cloud automation platforms, supporting cross-functional initiatives where needed.
Support the response to security incidents, focusing on mitigation strategies and implementation of security measurements to prevent future incidents.
Proactively identify and manage risks, developing a prioritized list of both implementation and automation activities using current frameworks and policy enforcement.
Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance functionalities in the cloud platform automation portals and contribute to the cloud team center of knowledge.
3rd level support IT operations and the Cloud teams in issues and troubleshooting areas on existing deployed solutions.
Your skillset:
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the following areas:
Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET Core
Experience with REST APIs and SQL
In-depth knowledge of Azure Cloud, including PaaS and SaaS
Familiarity with scripting in PowerShell and/or Azure CLI
Proficiency in building and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
While not required, experience with agile methodologies will be advantageous in this role.
