Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing all Supply Planning of primary packaging and pure buy activities for Modern Markets. .The Associate Supply Planning Manager, Modern Markets is responsible for leading and optimizing the overall supply and inventory plans for both mid-term and strategic planning horizons for their region. The objective is to meet the consensus demand plan in addition to capacity, working capital and service goals/objectives. Interacts closely with commercial and supply chain functions to deliver products on time. Challenges and drives continuous improvement throughout all functions to ensure cost competitiveness and long-term vitality. Forward looking and planning to ensure flexibility and competitiveness of resources, assets, suppliers, and technical capabilities.
The Associate Manager, Modern Markets Supply Planning drives change with both internal and external customers by building integrated relationships to support value-added customer needs, drive efficiencies and meet core objectives. Key responsibilities include working cross-functionally (Finance, IT, Sales, Commercial) to drive strategic alignment, determine feasibility impacts, support and coordination for improvements. Participates in cross functional teams to support/execute special projects supporting supply chain goals and objectives. Drives Continuous Improvement Savings.
Responsibilities
Develop strategic roadmap for systems, processes, and people. Align with key stakeholders, harmonized globally where necessary and drive delivery of projects to improve.
Influence skills. To build excellent relationships with Internal Customers, External Customers, and External providers to maximize overall effectiveness.
To set challenging KFPs to drive team forward.
To search for best practice internally (globally) and externally in order to drive the innovation pipeline
Clear leadership of top down objective setting to ensure all team members are aligned in terms of direction.
To be able to translate specific market / customer needs to Supply Chain functions.
Responsible for leading, training, and coaching supply planning colleagues including salary administration, formal evaluations, and succession planning. Will have approximately 6 direct reports.
Works closely with Operations and Commercial Team members at all levels to identify and provide recommendations for supply chain processes, policy, and procedure improvements.
Change management communication and execution.
Builds partnerships to align on internal/external objectives and goals.
Sets and manages within departmental and business policies and procedures.
Participates/leads cross functional teams and special projects.
Determine feasibility (Financial, IS, and business process) impacts of supply chain improvements.
Continuously seeks and executes cost saving opportunities (Customer Improvement processes, Cost Avoidance Opportunities)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines
Communicate key scorecard metrics to drive efficiencies across areas of responsibility
Support and execute M&A implementation
Achieve performance metrics and prioritize and escalate planning challenges, creating countermeasures to achieve KPI targets, conducting root cause analysis as needed to identify systemic issues
Leads the alignment of the supply plan to Operations and the S&OP Process
Effectively escalates information about shortages or excesses of inventory levels with recommendations and options to advise the commercial team, customer service and leadership
Influence senior leaders from across Energizer
Collaboratively build out and lead aspects of improving planning systems
Routinely active participant with Procurement on market analysis and vetting new suppliers.
What we are looking for
5 years of experience in a supply chain role, planning, or operations role, with a demonstrated progression of responsibility
Fluency in English
Education requirements (degree level educated)
Strategic thinker with ability to build LT improvement plan.
