Akima Contract Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct the execution of NESA Center annual program plan (90 programs and over 120 activities) and authorized projects integration through internal and external coordination with faculty, staff and other sources as determined through Contractor manager.

  • Work with internal/external resources to secure needed materials and services at fair market rate. Provide detailed cost analysis to support services cost.

  • Ensure that short and long-term annual program plan milestones are documented/reached, and requirements are met 100% on time.

  • Conduct research (at least three vendors) to recommend vendors in support of programs within the program timeline with a 100% delivery rate of detailed cost analysis.

  • Evaluate program support procedures for academic, research, and financial analysis and recommend improvements, and implement modifications to provide accurate program plan information management to all project/event groups via in person meeting, Microsoft (MS) Business Intelligence (BI) platforms, and Information Technology (IT) Education (Ed) platforms.

  • Plan, prepare, and manage events/programs; create and coordinate program support schedules for assigned functional support against event agendas; create and update weekly detailed program timelines and milestones to execute events; develop, manage, and report on program expenditures to achieve program objectives and maintain weekly updates of expenditures; assist to standardize execution of seminar components for program support.

  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOP) for domestic and international events to ensure steps necessary to synchronize events are identified, conduct in-progress reviews (IPR) and after-action reviews with faculty and staff, and provide inputs as required or requested.

  • Plan travel requirements: conduct cost analysis, acquiring airline tickets, file pre and post travel vouchers, compile security information and manage security cable transmissions, track flights, and adjust flights, as necessary. Provide 100% travel services within budget as designated within a project/event estimate.

  • Develop diagrams detailing vendor layout of tables, chairs, microphones, interpretation, and Audio Visual (A/V) items prior to initial in progress review, set up all aspects of event/program spaces/layouts, and coordinate with supporting staff, vendors, and speakers as required to facilitate program requirements.

  • Must be able to travel in support of international programs and direct pre/onsite/post international event requirements per the annual program plan or approved activities.

  • Provides summary of activities and financial commitments to USG through the service contract management team on a weekly basis or as requested with 100% receipt accuracy of pending and approved activities.

  • Conduct program support duties as necessary for 100% program completion: participant direction and/or on-site registration by escorting, coordinating ground movement, and communicating activities associated programs/events to participants, staff, and speakers.

  • Prepare, process, and track participant certificates for programs/events as required in coordination with registrar office prior to program execution and print and coordinate for approved signatures with 100% error free certificates for presentation.

  • Support must develop and provide 100% of annual program plan events/programs/activities with an item list timeline detailing plan, prepare, and execute items and method to track milestones.

  • Conduct all operation and administrative actions to maintain all digital workflow (work assignments timeline and programs dashboard input) worksheets associated with NESA Center annual program plan annually.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in an operational or training environment within the NESA or and Perry Centers regions, or in a District of Columbia (D.C.) Regional Center as an operations or contract support manager.

  • Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following areas: personnel management; administration; logistics planning and management; program management; protocol; public affairs; or political- military affairs is required. Must demonstrate ability to use management systems to plan, prepare, and execute programs. Must have knowledge of the Washington, D.C. diplomatic and military organizations and cultures, and the ability to interact with senior foreign representatives is required.

  • Tier 3 Security Certification.

  • Must have a Secret clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Documented PMP or higher level certificated from a granting institution and must demonstrate ability to use management systems to plan, prepare, and execute programs.

  • Highest standards of personal deportment, judgment, demonstrated organizational abilities, and outstanding communication skills.

Posted Salary Range

160,000.00
