Deloitte Cost Accounting Senior Consultant in Washington, District Of Columbia

Work you'll do

  • Assist with asset valuation in Excel cost models.

  • Perform costing accounting while working with clients to develop/update cost models.

  • Work with clients and staff to coordinate development and resolution of identified control deficiencies.

  • Perform data analysis and reconciliations/validations of financial and input data.

  • Design and implement technical solutions to improve financial management activities.

  • Assist with accounting and financial reporting operations.

  • Advise our clients on technical accounting and internal controls matters.

  • Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues.

  • Review deliverables for accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or another Business-related field required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain secret clearance for this role.

  • Must be able to work on site in DC, Maryland and/or Virginia 2-3 days a week.

  • Ability to travel 40%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • 2+ years' of cost accounting experience with managerial accounting and activity-based cost methodology

  • 2+ years of experience in reviewing, analyzing, validating, and reconciling financial/accounting information

  • 2+ years' experience with cost modeling tools including (not limited to): SAS CPM, CostPerform, HPCM, Acorn, MyABCM, 3C

  • 2 + years' experience with analytics tools including (not limited to): PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik

    Preferred:

  • Certifications including CPA, CGFM, CFA

  • Active Secret Clearance

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,680.00 to $162,800.00.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
