ASRC Federal Holding Company Internal Communications Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia
ASRC Federal provides information security, enterprise architecture, software development and health IT solutions to federal government customers. We are seeking an Internal Communications Specialist on site at Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in Washington, DC.
Work arrangement: Hybrid
Clearance: Active Top Secret or ability to obtain one
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and revises ATF’s directives assigned to PSD
Develops, updates, edits PSD’s SOPs
Drafts ATF broadcasts initiated by PSD
Develops and updates all ATF forms assigned to PSD
Creates OMB certification and recertification request packages for PSD forms and acts as PSD’s liaison with representatives from ATF’s OST re OMB packages
Drafts ATF executive briefing and decision papers for PSD’s management team
Drafts, reviews, edits PSD’s and OPRSO’s executive letters and memorandums for dissemination inside and outside of ATF
Develops letter/memo templates for PSD branches to assist with providing consistent and professional correspondence
Prepares letters/memos of appreciation/recognition for PSD
Performs the role of a PSD writer/editor
Drafts PSD’s Annual Accomplishments document
Drafts PSD’s input into the OPRSO Annual Report
Drafts PSD’s input into the Assistant Director’s and Deputy Assistant Director’s Performance Work Plans
Develops interview questions, creates interview schedules and guard notifications, and coordinates interviews with applicants for PSD positions
Drafts PSD responses to other federal agency requests, audit findings, etc.
Reviews and drafts comments on new EOs, Security Executive Agent Directive, OPM and DOJ guidance and their impact on ATF and PSD (e.g., social media, reporting requirements, non-disclosure agreement)
Provides suggestions to PSD’s management on divisional strategies (based on ATF organizational knowledge and experience) when requested
Develops and revises information maintained on PSD’s portal pages
Provides guidance and information to co-workers on various topics (e.g., SOPs, correspondence, forms, templates, and ATF organizational culture) when requested.
Requirements:
Excellent customer/client handling skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
Working knowledge of MS Office -- Word, Excel and PPT; database experience
Strong interpersonal skills; written and oral communications skills
Excellent time management -- ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Education/Experience:
Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Minimum of 2+ years of related experience.
