Occupational Safety and Health Administration Management and Program Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia
Summary This position is with the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), within the Directorate of Administrative Programs (DAP). This position is in the National Office located in Washington, D.C. This position is at the full performance level. This position is outside the bargaining unit. Selectee will be expected to report to the office listed above. Current DOL policy requires on-site work at least 5 days per pay period. Responsibilities Duties for the GS-0343-14 Management and Program Analyst include but are not limited to the following: Provides and analyzes data and tracking reports that inform the Directorate of key metrics and measures related to management and administrative services. Works with Program personnel on workforce planning efforts involving resources and activities and recommends changes to improve work processes. Initiates action to implement new or revised program or operational procedures to expedite and facilitate the conduct and fulfillment of DAP. Represent the assigned Directorates interests in meetings and conferences with internal and external groups and individuals. Prepare reports and other documentation; communicating findings and recommendations, to establish and maintain effective contacts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. For the GS-14: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-13. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-14 includes: Providing policy and procedural recommendations concerning internal administrative operations, organizational structures, or management initiatives. Solving issues related to staffing and recruitment or employee development and training. Developing standards/policies/procedures involving administrative functions in an organization. Providing strategic and business advice to managers on a wide range of policy or program matters, specifically relating to human resources.
