For more information visit: Office of the Executive Director (OED) | Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (ferc.gov) Responsibilities As a Management and Program Analyst, some of your typical work assignments may include: Articulating skillful thoughts in written and oral formats, actively listens to others, and fosters stakeholder relationships to communicate ideas and build/maintain teams and teamwork. Conducting safety and security assessments and analyses, develops findings and recommendations, oversees implementation of corrective actions, and validates efficacy. Ensures policy and procedural documents accurately reflect vetted approaches. Providing partners, customers, and stakeholders with assistance, direction, and information on safety, security, and emergency response activities, practices, and principles to ensure effective and efficient customer experience. Coordinates security arrangements, engagements, and support with local and Federal law enforcement organizations. Aiding team members by providing application and systems training and contract administration to promote a cohesive team environment and to meet workload surges thereby supporting team resiliency. Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. Citizen or National. A one-year probationary period may be required. A background investigation is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in applying safety, security, and/or emergency management principles and conducting analyses and assessments with oversight or supervision in order to identify vulnerabilities and determine appropriate protection measures, taking cost into consideration. Experience in engaging and coordinating with law enforcement and citizens to help ensure the rights of all parties are respected. Experience administering Federal contracts from the vendor or government side. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
