Title: Project Document Controller / Writer
Location: Hybrid (Washington, DC)
Duration: 1+ years Contract
Rate: $Open
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated instructional writing skills and experience to provide clear and concise direction on technically complex equipment
Proficiency in communicating technical information to various stakeholders and related technical staff
Edit and proofread their own work and the work of other specialists to ensure the documents they create are free of grammatical mistakes and technical inaccuracies.
Self-starter with project management skills, constructive critical thinking skills, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
Proficient PC skills, with expert command of Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent written/oral communication skills
Flexibility to work extended hours if required
Requirements
6-9 years of experience
Knowledge in technical fields such as physical security, engineering, computer science, or information systems.
Demonstrated experience/working knowledge of various data management business systems including Procurement, Work Management, Business Operations, and Training
Some experience in railroad related or similar transportation or industrial activity with well-developed understanding of technical concepts, terms, and various fleet and equipment nomenclature. Interpersonal Skills
Strong interpersonal and time management skills
