IBM Security Consultant- Mainframe/Z-Cloud Support in Washington, District Of Columbia

As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM's clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.
Your Role and Responsibilities
This position has a customer service component to the role and thus will require the candidate to act as a charismatic interface for our team. They will need to communicate effectively with executive level company and client point of contacts.
Candidates interested in this role must demonstrate the ability to understand contract requirements including the estimated level of effort (LOE) to complete taskings that meet the goals of the customer, respond to external annual evaluations, perform validation of system security controls, risk management, and standard Risk Management Framework policies/procedures.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
NIST Risk Management Framework RMF or A&A lifecycle - 8+ Years' experience
Conduct Information Assurance Control Assessment for NIST controls - 8+ Years Experience
Vulnerability compliance and remediation reporting - 8+ Years Experience
Maintain System Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) - 8+ Years experience
Certified in industry recognized areas such as CISSP, CISA, or Security+ US Citizenship
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Familiarity with Mainframe and associated security concepts is preferred
Project Planning- 1+ Years Experience
Ability to recognize business opportunities and organically grow the business - 3+ Years Experience

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
