Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Threat Intelligence Data Architect with a strong focus on cybersecurity. As a Senior Threat Intelligence Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing secure and scalable architecture solutions to safeguard our organization’s critical information assets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data-centric security measures align with business needs and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data management best practices and have a proven track record of successfully implementing a monitoring and logging strategy in both structured and unstructured data within a big data environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the data architecture vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models that accurately represent our data assets and enable efficient data access, analysis, reporting, logging, and monitoring.
Define data integration strategies and patterns to enable seamless data flow and interoperability across various systems and platforms.
Ensure adherence to the enterprise data movement, quality and accountability standards in technology, and established data governance policies and procedures.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to recommend data security measures and privacy control to ensure gaps in controls are filled.Collaborate with the governance team to develop strategies for MDM including data profiling, data cleansing, and data standardization, data quality management practices to monitor and improve data quality and ensure consistent and accurate master data.
Conducts data driven analysis of usage of detailed data elements across the business domain to provide optimal data provisioning patterns across the application space.
Analyze and align with other business models.
Define and maintain the blueprint for managing data assets. Map relationships between data, process, business, system, and technology.
Establish capabilities framework for varies data architecture tools.
Collaborate with data analyst and business intelligence teams to design data visualization solutions and reporting on adherence to data architecture and data governance metrics.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data architecture and engineering teams, guiding them in implementing best practices and maintaining data standards.
Required skills
5+ years working with Cyber Security data
Expertise in threat intelligence platforms and tools
Strong experience in analyzing cyber threats, malware, and attack vectors
Working knowledge of the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF)
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Or equivalent experience.
5+ years proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role with a focus on designing and implementing complex data architecture.
Strong knowledge of data management principles, data modeling techniques and data integration patterns.
In-depth understanding of data security, data privacy, and data governance concepts.
Hands on experience with data modeling tools (SAP PowerDesigner), database management systems, big data environments and ETL tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data related challenges
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple initiatives concurrently.
5-10+ years’ experience in relational and dimensional data modeling as well as metadata build and management.
Hands on expertise in relational and NOSQL database systems. Strong SQL and Python skills a must.
Thorough understanding of real time, batch, and event-based data provisioning.
Hands on experience in ETL and API based data provisioning patterns.
Needs to be a skilled communicator with tools like Visio, PowerPoint, and be able to quickly put together and present ideas to large groups clearly and effectively.
Strong Excel skills experience working with large amounts of data, conducting analysis and present findings
Hands-on design and implementation experience with one/more of the following data tools:
Data Analysis / Profiling – Python (Jupyterlab, PyCharm, etc.), Toad, MySQL
Data Platforms – Hadoop, Spark, Oracle, Exadata, SQL Server, DB2, MongoDB, Teradata, Splunk
Data Transformation – Informatica, SSIS, Alteryx, Trifacta
BI – Tableau, Microstrategy, metadata/lineage tools, Distributed Caching tools.
In-depth understanding of Data Governance process – identify critical data elements, metadata, data lineage, data dictionary, data model, Data Sharing Agreements, Service Level Agreements, Data Management Standards.
5+ years experience with Data Quality measurements/Scorecards, Control, & Remediation along with Data reconciliation techniques.
Able to independently architect solutions, lead code reviews and ensure quality throughout the life of each project.
Experience working as part of the Agile team and using Agile SDLS tools

Knowledgeable in Audit and regulatory concerns.
Experience with next generation tools and technologies is a plus (AI/ML, RPA etc.)
Industry certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or TOGAF are a plus

Key responsibilities include facilitating solution driven discussions, working with stakeholders to support adherence to the enterprise data management policy and standards, and supporting architecture design reviews to ensure integration of data architecture principles in technology solutions. Job expectations include educating data management teams on enterprise data architectural principles and data management processes and routines.
