FANNIE MAE Senior Director, Workplace Product Design and Development (Open to Remote) in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description In this compelling EWS leadership position, you will be accountable for building, developing, or designing functionality for new products and services, as well as manage and ensure completion of the implementation and ongoing enhancement or maintenance of existing products. You will be responsible for incorporating our flexibility with purpose work approach to re-imagine the product and service offerings for our work ecosystem to elevate the workplace experience for all employees.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Senior Director, Workplace Product Design and Development role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee and provide guidance on the design strategy for new products

  • Oversee and drive the implementation process for new products

  • Direct product improvement efforts

  • Provide strategic guidance on product lifecycle maintenance

  • Define product strategy that is in alignment with business objectives

  • Identify critical business outcomes and measure the performance of existing and new products.

  • Integrate the suite of products and services with Product Management Platform and Delivery teams in the EWS organization.

Qualifications Minimum Required Experiences

  • 8 years of experience

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent; Master degree preferred

  • Developing and implement a comprehensive strategy to enhance and transform workplace experience products and services that aligns with the organization’s vision and real estate objectives. Translate the strategy into roadmaps used to ensure alignment and prioritize efforts.

  • Gathering and using UX research to inform overall strategy by understanding the needs, behaviors, and motivations ok key users and stakeholders. This data is critical in measuring the success of the products and services post launch.

  • Segmenting the workforce to understand the unique needs and wants across the organization which in turn will help identify underserved portions of the population.

  • Leading the design and enhancement of products and services to improve the end-to-end workplace experience for employees and clients by engaging and leveraging the expertise of other functional teams.

  • Leveraging service design methods to document the customer journey and existing service touchpoints to identify gaps and inefficiencies. Develop new service blueprints that outline the vision for enhanced or new services, detailing every aspect from user interactions to backend processes in collaboration with the functional teams

  • Working with functional leaders within EWS to update and document service delivery playbooks in alignment with new service blueprints.

  • Driving innovation by identifying emerging technologies and trends that can enhance workplace efficiency and satisfaction. Deployed prop-tech strategically to optimize customer journey, streamlining service delivery and establishing best practices to differentiate the value proposition of the workplace from other places work gets done.

  • Testing and piloting new products and services to understand if the intended outcomes are being achieved before broad launch. Post launch, track KPIs to measures the value of the product or service improvements.

  • Working with internal stakeholders, develop a comprehensive change management program inclusive of internal communications and training to support the enhancement or launch of products and services.

  • Establishing a new EWS product management organization with capabilities in product management, service design, UX research, and other capabilities needed to execute upon the product vision. This team will be responsible for the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, and managed post-launch performance.

  • Developing a robust stakeholder management process to ensure EWS and organizational leadership is informed and helps shape the transformation efforts.
