The Global Health Equity (GHE) team advances equitable access to quality care through championing nurses and community health workers, enabling community-centered and culturally conscious care, and supporting access to our medicines and technologies.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Partnerships - Americas, will cultivate existing and develop new partnerships to strengthen collaborative efforts across North America and Latin America.

This is an external facing role that requires strong relationship and partnership management skills, the ability to operationalize plans, and a proactive approach to bring partners to the table. This role will also contribute to programmatic design and evolution that will translate into local/regional implementation strategies. This individual acts as a strategic advisor to the Americas team to shape and deliver comprehensive plans, inclusive of, but not limited to:

  • Existing Partnership Oversight and Management: Leverage and nurture significant external partner relationships and resources for scaled implementation to increase health impact goals.

  • External Relationship Development: Evaluate and analyze current partnerships while recommending future collaborations that align with organizational strategy. This role involves scanning and assessing the external public health ecosystem to identify organizations needs for partnerships and matching these with the capabilities that Johnson & Johnson can bring as an extensive cross-sector and cross-functional entity.

  • Initiative Generation and Scaling: In collaboration with the Program Delivery & Impact Lead Americas, this person will work closely with Strategy, Grants, Impact, and Delivery Leads in the collaborative development of new initiatives by bringing in additional partners and/or strengthening existing partnerships to increase/scale patient impact.

  • Program Design and Sustainability: Co-create initiatives with partners and stakeholders, utilizing internal J&J programs and business capabilities as a key differentiator for adding value and increasing the scale of sustainable social impact.

  • Support Internal and External Communications efforts: Liaise with internal functions including regional Communications, Government Affairs, Finance, Compliance, and Legal to maximize program success and leverage the full extent of J&Js capabilities towards delivery success and impact. Represent J&J in internal and external stakeholder meetings. Serve as external spokesperson as needed.

  • Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Insights: Continuously monitor external environment, trends, and insights to enhance collaboration, report back program successes, and strengthen Johnson & Johnsons position as a leader in global health and corporate responsibility. Support partner and compliance by co-creating and delivering timely narrative reports illustrating impact and lessons learned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 8 years professional experience in field(s) of corporate social responsibility, community engagement, philanthropy, social development, employee engagement required

  • Adept at managing external partnerships and working across a matrix environment

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Knowledge and relationships with external public health, medical, NGO and funder stakeholders in the region is strongly preferred

  • Process Discipline: Experience leading design, development, and implementation of end-to-end processes with innate desire to solve problems and generate solutions

  • Time Management and Prioritization: Demonstrated initiative, ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously while working independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Perseverance, Passion, and Enthusiasm: Bias for action, drive to succeed, capability to work through ambiguity, maintain focus and conviction on objectives, motivate others to deliver as needed

  • Collaboration and Coordination: Ability to collaborate and coordinate efforts across internal functions to ensure delivery and execution with understanding and respect for effective ways of working across various cultures and teams. Knowledge of teamwork and relationship building skills to influence and collaborate across multiple levels, cultures, and functions across international markets

  • Ability to travel 30% domestic and international

Salary

The base pay range for this position is $118,000 - $203,550 USD

Bonus

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporations performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Companys discretion on an individual basis.

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
